Is it true that grades made in the ninth grade are not as important as the grades made in the junior and senior years?

No. Students need to be aware that their grades and coursework in grades 9-12 are considered in college admissions. An “A” made in the 9th grade counts the same amount as an “A” made in the 12th grade; conversely, a “D” made in the 9th grade counts the same amount as a “D” made in the 12th grade.
