Our journey began in 1977, when Mary Brown and Betsy Richards founded Corporate Child Care Consultants, LLC, with a
vision to develop on-site corporate child care programs. After successfully launching several centers in
Atlanta, they expanded their services to include work-life consultations, needs assessments, feasibility
studies, and resource and referral services.
As the years progressed, Mary and Betsy recognized the evolving needs of businesses and their employees.
They expanded their offerings beyond child care to include work-life referrals through Employee Assistance
Programs (EAPs). In the 1990s, reflecting their broadened focus, the company rebranded as BrownRichards
& Associates. They became pioneers in the industry by being among the first to offer elder care
services alongside a comprehensive range of programs.

In 2002, Jon and Rachel Booth joined BrownRichards & Associates, bringing innovative ideas.
They spearheaded the development of an internal case management system, which revolutionized our operations. This
system streamlined our referral process, making it easier to manage client files and access a comprehensive
database of over 500,000 child and elder care providers across the nation.
This system has been a cornerstone of operations for BrownRichards & Associates and several other Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs)
for over 20 years.
In 2005, we launched CareSquad as a separate company, with a vision to provide a
direct-to-public resource that empowers individuals and families in their caregiving journeys. This innovative website
was designed to offer comprehensive support for elder care and later expanded to include child care. It included a wealth of resources
such as webinars, expert advice, and an extensive database of care providers.
Since its creation, CareSquad has grown significantly, now boasting a database of over 1.5 million providers.
Our focus has always been on assisting employees and the general public in navigating their caregiving responsibilities.
We are committed to providing accessible, reliable, and valuable resources to help individuals find the right care solutions
for their loved ones.

In 2013, CareSquad underwent a transformation and we unveiled an array of
exciting new features and expanded our focus to include comprehensive childcare
and education resources. Our community enjoyed live chat support, engaging monthly webinars,
personalized medical profile pages, and a convenient self-scheduling with our work-life specialists.

enhancing the well-being of families everywhere.

In 2017, we unlocked a new chapter in our story with the launch of our Resources API,
opening up a world of possibilities for our external clients. We also expanded our horizons to
cover topics like health & wellness and everday living, laying the groundwork for our future projects.
As we mapped out our vision for an enhanced member portal and app, we also broadened our nationwide
self-serve locators and enriched our content offerings.

In 2018, we took a giant step forward by revamping and relaunching our free and co-branded website as a
Progressive Web App (PWA) and native app, making it available in the app stores. We didn’t stop there — our self-serve locators
for our API got a major upgrade, and we broadened our services to include work-life consultations and
application development.
